The Psion Guild is a non-profit organization in the making. Its primary areas of focus will be education, training, research, networking, support, and defense of persons who use psi abilities (psions).
Psi abilities are a specific subset of psychic abilities focused and directed by the mind and nervous system. Psi energy, in our primary school of thought, is a specific type of energy which is produced by the nervous system. The Guild will demand legitimacy in the practices of its members, assurring that it will gain a reputation for fairness and legitimacy which will reflect on all members who choose to use their abilities commercially. Privacy and security will also be a primary concern. No member who does not wish to be known publically will be. Names will be kept strictly confidential, and the use of a psi-name, or pseudonym will be encouraged when persons wish to communicate with other psions or with outsiders on topics dealing with psi.
At the present time, the Psion Guild is still in the process of setting up. We are looking for persons somewhat knowledgeable in the field of psionics to help out, particularly in the arena of information gathering. This is a process which MAY take years. It will take as long as necessary to ensure a stable and complete infrastructure and organization.
